Happy National Truck Driver Appreciation Week from PTP Transport!
Happy National Truck Driver Appreciation Week from PTP Transport!
September 11-17th, 2022
This week is National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, a time for the team at PTP Transport to show our appreciation for all the work truck drivers do. Truck drivers fill one of our economy’s most demanding jobs. According to the American Trucking Association, truck drivers move around 72.5% of the nation’s freight by weight.
Did you know? According to the American Trucking Association, there are 3.36 million men and women in the truck driving profession and without their commitment to the job, our world would look very different. The timely and efficient delivery of valuable resources is what moves our transportation industry. Truck drivers have a commitment to long hours and long days away from their loved ones. At PTP Transport, we understand how difficult this can be for drivers, which is why family time and home-based resets are a priority for our team.
Although this is one week of celebration, it is important to understand the hard work truck drivers do year-round. Take a moment this week to think of a driver and appreciate how they may be impacting your life. Whether it be a local delivery driver or a driver for larger corporations, truck drivers positively impact the world we live in.
Thank you to all the truck drivers who make daily sacrifices to keep America moving. No matter if you work at PTP Transport or with a different company, we see you and we appreciate you and the work you do every day.
