PTP Celebrates National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2026

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week takes place September 13-19, 2026, marking the 38th year of this celebration organized by the American Trucking Associations (ATA). This year’s theme, “For the Miles You Drive and Sacrifices You Make,” speaks directly to the commitment professional drivers bring to the job every single day. Nearly 3.6 million professional drivers are on the road across the country, and at PTP Transport, our own drivers logged 980,542 miles over the past year moving goods, resulting in 2,438 loads delivered. This week is our chance to recognize that effort and say thank you for a job well done.
This Year’s Theme Hits Home
Driving a truck is more than a job. It’s a career that demands discipline, focus and pride in doing the work right, trip after trip. Every PTP driver represents our company out on the highway and at every delivery. The way they carry themselves on the road reflects directly on PTP, and that responsibility is something our drivers take seriously. This year’s theme is a reminder that the miles behind the wheel and the commitment it takes to log them safely are worth recognizing.
More Than Miles

Truck driving is often misunderstood. It’s not just long hours behind the wheel. It’s a career that supports millions of jobs across logistics, warehousing and manufacturing, and one that continues to grow more diverse. At PTP, our drivers are the backbone of everything we do, and we’re proud of the men and women who choose this career and choose to drive for PTP.
How PTP Supports Our Drivers Year-Round
Appreciation shouldn’t be limited to one week a year, and at PTP we support our drivers every day. This support includes:
- Home time through weekly home-based resets
- Competitive pay paired with performance-based bonuses
- A sign-on bonus and driver referral bonus for new and returning team members
- Health insurance, paid time off and bereavement pay
- Open communication with dispatch to help balance routes with life at home
Thank You to Every PTP Transport Driver
This National Truck Driver Appreciation Week we take a moment to recognize all PTP drivers and all truck drivers who deliver products. The miles they drive and the commitment it takes to drive them don’t go unnoticed. Interested in a career that values you and your family? Apply today and join the PTP family.
