PTP Transport Drivers Deliver Holiday Wreaths to Veteran Memorial Cemeteries

Second year of partnership with Wreaths Across America sends drivers to Florida, Texas

Auburn, Ala. (Dec. 15, 2025)- PTP Transport has this week delivered wreaths to 23 memorial cemeteries across Florida and Texas on behalf of Wreaths Across America (WAA). PTP participated in WAA’s Honor Fleet for the second year as a way to honor the veterans who have served in the U.S. military. On Saturday, December,13 volunteers will participate in wreath laying ceremonies at more than 5,200 locations across 50 states. The Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo will serve as a wreath laying location.

One of PTP’s veteran drivers began their journey at WAA’s headquarters in Columbia, Maine and traveled down the East Coast to Florida, delivering wreaths to 10 veteran cemeteries in the state. Another driver began in Richland, Miss., and headed west to deliver wreaths to 13 cemeteries across Texas.

“The mission of WAA is to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. While we believe these loads are meaningful for anyone to deliver, we take special pride in allowing veterans on our team of drivers to be part of this mission and experience firsthand the honor and purpose embodied by WAA.”

WAA was started in 1992 by Morrill Worcester, the owner of Worcester Wreath Company in Maine. Worcester had many wreaths and decided to donate them to Arlington National Cemetery after a formative visit there as a boy. With help from volunteers and community organizations, this initial donation started a tradition that grew steadily over the years. In 2007, Wreaths Across America was formally established and has been recognized by the U.S. Congress for its impact. Each year more than two million WAA volunteers place wreaths on veterans’ grave sites at more than 5,200 participating locations in all 50 states.
