Happy National Truck Driver Appreciation Week!

Truck drivers, who perform one of our economy’s most demanding and important jobs, are getting their time to shine this week during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week! As we celebrate this week, we want to show our PTP drivers and the millions of truckers around the country just how much we truly appreciate them.

It’s the work of around 3.6 million truckers who, according to the American Trucking Associations, move around 72.5% of the nation’s freight by weight. Truck drivers serve the essential task of getting goods and resources from production to the consumer. For this reason, we couldn’t be more grateful to each of them.

In order to get the job done, America’s truck drivers commit to long hours and long days. Because of this, they spend their workdays frequenting hotels and gas stations, which takes away from time spent with family and friends. We understand this sacrifice and want to thank the families of America’s truck drivers for their support as well. At PTP Transport, we try our best to get our drivers where they need to be in a timely and efficient manner so they have more time for the important things, like spending time with family.

This week, take a minute to appreciate the fellow commuter or delivery driver, even if his or her truck is larger than yours. Drivers take special care of America and this week we want to show them all equal appreciation.
